List the ten tasks that eat your week.
Write down the ten tasks you personally did last week that took the most time, and write real tasks, where "answered quote requests" beats "email." If you are stuck, steal from this list: writing quotes and estimates, chasing invoices, answering repeat customer questions, scheduling and rescheduling, writing social posts, responding to reviews, follow-up messages to leads who went quiet, preparing meeting notes, updating spreadsheets, posting job listings.
Score each task twice, one to five.
Repeatable: does it follow one fixed recipe? A five means you could write that recipe on an index card. A one means every instance is different.
Judgment: how much does it need your taste, your relationships, or your name on the line? A five means a mistake costs you a customer or your reputation. A one means nobody would notice who did it.

Hand these to AI now. Most businesses find three to five tasks in this zone, and together they hold the five hours you came for.

Let AI draft these while you keep the approval, since the machine handles the eighty percent that is mechanical and you spend two minutes on the part that is yours.

Keep these, because they are your actual job, and anyone who tells you AI should do them is selling something.
Low on both scores? That task should probably be batched, delegated to a person, or dropped entirely. AI is not the answer to everything, and saying so is exactly why you can trust the rest of this audit.
Count your hours.
Take your top three green-zone tasks and write next to each one the hours it took last week. For most owners the three together land between four and eight hours. That number comes from your own week, and it is what you stand to get back, every week, starting with the first task you hand over.
